"The Beauty Book For Brain Cancer"

I am so honored to have been a part of this amazing project to benefit brain cancer research and shot by the fabulous Darren Tieste!

The Beauty Book is a hard cover coffee table book with images of your favorite celebrities, musicians and top models. All the monies raised, will go directly to Brain Cancer via two charities called SNOG & HEADRUSH.

Check out the images here of Eva Longoria, Dave and Odette Anable, Stacy Keibler, and Emanuelle Chriqui all of whom generously donated their time for this wonderful cause and whose makeup I had the pleasure of doing.  Please show your support in finding a cure and visit the official website at http://thebeautybook.org to get your copy :)

Natasha Bedingfield CMA's 2011

For this year's CMA's in Nashville,  I had the privilege of working with the gorgeous and talented Natasha Bedingfield.  Natasha and I wanted a classic glam look like Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde.  I kept the focus on her eyes and gave her a modern 60's feel by smudging a deep plum shadow on her lids and lining them with a thick black liquid eyeliner. For her lips I kept them soft and neutral. Check out her performance with Rascall Flatts of their hit song "Easy" as well as her look from the red carpet.

"Le Petit Poisson Rouge"

I had a so much fun doing the makeup for these stunning images captured by photographer Dorit Thies for Zink magazine's Summer 2011 issue. Our model, Amanda@Photogenics represented the little fish out of water perfectly and really got into the spirit of the shoot. Mitch Stone@Cloutier did the hair. Amanda's skin is super pale and was the perfect canvas for me to really go crazy with colors..I used MAC acrylic paints and Make Up For Ever Aqua creams to create strong bursts of color that popped on camera and really accentuated her paleness. We were even featured on PDN! To view more about the concept and inspiration click here http://www.pdnonline.com/pdn/photoserve/Le-Petit-Poisson-Rou-3172.shtml

Marlee Scott "Beautiful Maybe" Video Shoot

I just got back from Nashville, where I had the pleasure of working with the mega talented Marlee Scott on the Music Video for her single "Beautiful Maybe".

Marlee is sponsered by MAC cosmetics so I used their fabulous products to create an edgy rock and roll vibe for her; keeping the focus on her gorgeous eyes.

I used MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC15 on her face to create a flawless canvas, then I gave her shimmery smokey eyes with MAC pigments in Old Gold, Copper Sparkle, Naked and Dark Soul. I lined her upper and lower lids with MAC Kohl Smolder Eye liner pencil and topped it with MAC Penultimate Liner in Carbon Black for even more drama.  Then I smudged it out for a slightly "undone" effect. I finished with 2 coats if MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash on her lashes for super length and volume.

On her cheeks I swept MAC Mineralize blush in Gleeful on her cheekbones, and brushed Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in Gold Deposit over her entire face to give her skin a gorgeous dewy finish.

I kept her lips soft, using MAC Lip Pencil in Spice to line and fill in her lips and topping them with MAC Lipgelee in Fashion Flower.

Marlee was an absolute joy to work with and is on her way to being a huge success...Check out the single here http://marleescott.com/videos/marlee-scott-beautiful-maybe and stay tuned for the video coming soon!

New Fashion

The last few weeks I've been busy traveling and working and have neglected my blog; so I apologize in advance for not having posted in awhile! The stories below are the result of some of that travel.

They were both shot in NYC for Danish Magazine Alt For Damerne , by super talented Danish photographer Sophie Driejer over 2  cold and windy days, where we shot between rain showers; but we had great models and they were both troopers. When the weather doesn't cooperate and you need to shoot fast, having good models makes all difference!

The busy streets of Manhattan in the middle of a work day are not exactly accomodating when you're trying to get a clear shot, but Sophie shoots quickly and stays calm under pressure and she knows just when to capture a moment while dodging traffic and crowds of people. It was a pleasure working with her and the whole team from Denmark!
