Review:Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss Golden Nectar

I love Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss Golden Nectar.  It's a super sheer, peachy formula glides on with shimmering gold highlights, and can be worn alone or layered over your lipstick for extra lusciousness.  It's also available in 11 other gorgeous shades... So pretty, and with a hint of vanilla, it smells delicious...Yum!

Fabulous shoot today with the amazing Melissa Rodwell, of model and performance artist Manzin...To make his eyes pop, I used MAC Chromcake in Black, Obssesive Compulsive Cosmetics Pigment in Cherry Bomb, and Make Up Forever Pure Pigment in Matte Bright Orange to give him an otherworldly bird like feel. He was an awesome sport, and really got into the vibe of the shoot. Check out his Facebook page at!/manzin?ref=ts!/manzin?ref=ts

Some of my favorite Makeup Books

Alot of people have asked me which makeup books I would recommend, so for those of you who are overwhelmed by the sheer number of them out there, I decided to put together a short list of a few of my faves...

Kevyn Aucoin's manuels Making Faces , The Art of Makeup and Face Forward are classics from a makeup genius and a must have for anyone that is passionate about makeup and beauty. The visuals are stunning, and inspiring.

For a comprehensive step by step guide to makeup, Bobbi Brown's Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual: For Everyone from Beginner to Pro and Kit Spencer's Pro Makeup: Salon Secrets of the Professionals (PRO (Firefly Book)) are both informative and easy to understand. For cool pro tips, and beautiful imagery, I like Scott Barnes About Face: Amazing Transformations Using the Secrets of the Top Celebrity Makeup Artist, and Francois Nars and Fabien Baron's Makeup Your Mind. Hope this helps!

Review: Face Stockholm Creme Blush

I just received some lovely makeup from Face Stockholm, and I started by trying out their Creme Blush. For this review I chose the color "Paris".

I love the beautiful reflective silver compact! It's the perfect purse size and snaps open to reveal a mirror and a delicious shade of  spicey hot pink. Very streamlined! The creamy texture is ultra silky and glossy and glides super smoothly on to the skin with minimal effort. The color blends to a gorgeous shade of blushing bride pink. And it's not just for cheeks!  It works fantastically well as a soft wash of color on the eyes, and on the lips as a perfect rose tint...A really great find, and ideal all over color for summer when you want to look fresh and pretty but not spend alot of time on your makeup!
